Our mixes are carefully formulated for small animals, with specific recipes designed for hamsters and rats. Each product clearly states which species it is intended for, please avoid feeding a mix to a species it was not designed for, as each animal has different nutritional requirements.

All Oliver’s Burrow mixes are created using research-based nutritional guidelines and whole, species-appropriate ingredients. We balance macronutrients and ingredient diversity to mimic natural foraging and support long-term health, digestion, and enrichment.

Pets should always be transitioned slowly to prevent digestive upset.
We recommend:

Day 1–3: 25% new mix, 75% old mix/pellets

Day 4–6: 50% new mix, 50% old mix/pellets

Day 7–9: 75% new mix, 25% old mix/pellets

Day 10+: 100% new mix

If your pet sorts new ingredients at first, this is normal, allow them to adjust over a few days especially if they were on pellets. Let them finish the portion before topping up new food.

Because we use natural, whole ingredients, colour, size, and shape can vary with each harvest.
This is completely normal and part of the charm of real food!

Start by mixing the new food gradually.
You can also:
